A downloadable visual novel for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android

It's the 23rd Annual Spooktober Halloween Heist, and the crew from the UIC Tabitha are up to no good!

Meet up with old friends in new outfits and have some light-hearted fun with a few of your favourite Infinite Stars characters!

Are you team Veera or team Reyna? Who deserves the win more? What about Khalil and Matthias? And why is Kiaria being so nosey?

You're in for a short treat in this 8K+ word story with multiple branches in a familiar world written by James and Crowbie.

You'll see five of the crew members in their brand-new Halloween outfits, hand-drawn by Tae.

You'll hear a new song by Griffiin (The original composer for Infinite Stars) during your daring heist.

You'll see a new section of the Observatory, drawn by Stoffies, where the crew works instead of floating in zero-G during extracurricular activities.

However you proceed, keep in mind that your choices will determine who has bragging rights as the 23rd Annual Halloween Heist winner!

We kindly ask that the judges not consider us for any of the cash prizes to keep it fair to our fellow game-jammers, as we were forced to use some of our existing assets to make the deadline! <3

We had to pull this game together in 5 days. I've been battling with rolling blackouts that last between 2.5 hours and 9 hours each day, a week without water, a four-month-old baby, my hectic day job, and the new public build for Infinite Stars, and another yet-announced project that will both be releasing in November. That's a lot of ands!

Believe me when I say it's a minor miracle that we're releasing the game on time! Special thanks to Crowbie– She has made this possible. I've been writing, coding, and dev(ing?) from 6:00 - 22:00 each day for the past three days, and Crowbie has been taking over whenever I fell asleep.

Another special shoutout to my loving wife, who has supported me during this crazy time. She even jumped in and saved the day when I accidentally messed up all the game sprites, losing several hours of work. I was ready to cry, but she swept in and saved the day, allowing me to focus on getting the game ready before the deadline while she redid the lost work for me.

The game is complete, but we'd like to spend some more time later to polish the changing facial expressions and add two additional planned routes to the story.

There shouldn't be any game-breaking bugs, but there might be some sleep-deprived typos. Sorry. We'll fix them.

Everyone here hopes you enjoy the silly little adventure we made for you. Much love, James and the team. <3

No Gamepad support? Will you put on steam?

(1 edit)

Hey, not sure about the gamepad support.

As for putting it on Steam, I doubt it. There are some not insignificant costs involved in uploading a game to Steam. (unless if we do it as a DLC? mmm.)

In all honesty, we'll probably merge it with the main game and have it trigger as a surprise event if you happen to be playing on Halloween / in October.

I just downloaded the game i got to the point of where it says later after you pick the team you want to be on then it stops working and kicks me out im not sure if its my computer or the game but i used a windows computer to download the game. so i just wanted to know if it was a bug or my computer just does not like me today

I'm sad to say it's probably your computer.

We've had some bug reports, (mostly typos or small stuff, nothing about crashes) but all of them happen after that scene.

I suspect it might be the large backgrounds/art assets being scaled, and your computer is possibly a bit older?
