Thalassaphilia 1.0 is now available to play.
We did it! We released Thalassaphila for the sealed-with-a-kiss jam!
It's just over 20.5K words long (for full completion), and it's a little bit different than our usual work. It took us pretty much the whole of January to get it done, so it's a relief being able to type up this devlog.
We decided to stop the story at an "Ah-ha!" moment and will probably continue working on it in the background, depending on how the game is received. We wanted to do the rest of the planned story justice, and forcing it to fit in the jam timeline wouldn't have done it justice. I feel it has a lot of merit and potential to be something amazing, but I'm biased.
That said, it needs some work. All/most of the bugs have been fixed, but the UI is very bare bones, and I wasn't able to implement all the facial expressions that I wanted to.
Go give it a play, and if you liked it, consider leaving us a positive review. If you hated it– let's go somewhere private and secluded to discuss it before you leave a negative review. :: fumbles while hiding the blunt object weapon ::
Personally, I'm immensely proud of what we were able to achieve in less than a month, from concept to pressing publish.

Amazing! I'm so intrigued and invested now (unfortunately I feel guilty about snooping, so my investigative skills are 0/10, but I love the game anyways!)
