Hi. This dev update is going to be a bit different from the others. You'll see why.

To Lieutenant Tschjo, my newest Patron, welcome and thank you. You met me at a very strange time in my life.

I'm safe and alive. So is my family. I'm trusting God for our continued safety.

But my heart is broken. While Johannesburg is experiencing its share of violence and looting, Durban has it so much worse. It will take years, if not decades, to recover. I feel so much. I have so much to say, but I don't have words.

Please don't believe the online propaganda. This isn't about freeing a corrupt ex-president. It's not about race. While poverty plays a big part, it wasn't the catalyst. This is because those who want to be back in power manipulated and exploited the most vulnerable in South Africa, using them as pawns to further their own political agenda. To hell with the costs.

I'm still committed to the 1st of September release date, but Infinite Stars development has come to a crawl. I'm sure most of you will understand that my current priorities are keeping my family and community safe, ensuring we have enough food and supplies, etc. Besides that, my current headspace isn't very conducive to game development right now.

Since the last Dev Update, I have put the first scene together. I've also done some more testing on the navigation code and started designing the navigation user interface. I've received some music tracks, and commissioned a CG scene and a ship design for the Cephilusk. I did most of this last week as this week hasn't been productive at all.
